Brunch on a sunny, happy day^^

Oh those lazy mornings, when you don’t ever seem to be able to get out of bed, and you just roll around, for just ten more minutes, then five more…then another five. 🙂 And then eventually noon approaches, and you start to get hungry. Time for a bite or two. Let’s throw some brunch together from whatever you can find in the fridge.

Miki and I are certainly guilty of lazing around like this on multiple occasions, but we are big fans of having brunch, plus we can also blog about it, so it’s kind of a win-win situation. 🙂

For this one you can see in the picture, we used:

  • 250g of mushrooms
  • half a leek
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • some leftover liver sausage (hurka)
  • plenty of paprika, turmeric and salt
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 white radishes
  • 2 garlic chives

IMAG1001For some more inspiration, here’s another brunch that was quickly put together.

IMAG1020Adjust the quantities to your appetite, but the ingredients here were:

  • iceberg lettuce
  • celery cabbage
  • apples
  • walnuts
  • linseed oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper for seasoning
  • scrambled eggs with bacon, grated smoked cheese and chives

IMAG1022Before the next photo, I have to admit that one must be really lucky to randomly find smoked trout filet in the fridge, but this was a good day for us, okay? 🙂 So that’s what we had, with some bacon, fried eggs and a readymade salad mix. YUM.

IMAG1047_2The bottom line is, if you have eggs and bacon in the fridge, you’re almost set for a good paleo brunch. Just incorporate some leftover vegetables, too, and the result will always be satisfying. Add turmeric powder for beautiful colours and more satisfaction. 😀

We’ll be posting more of these later!
